Good morning for 58 I guess it refers to the circumference measured as indicated. I can tell you that I have the same size and previously I bought an L, while the last purchase was an "M" (57 - 58) it is very snug, I always use the cap and wear glasses, but for security is perhaps better this way. I advise you to try it in some store, before buying it. On this site the prices are excellent as is the service. I hope I was helpful.
